Kaysy Ostrom (Margalo/Ensemble) is so excited to be a part of Stuart Little! She was last seen as the Mad Hatter and Humpty Dumpty in SSR’s Alice in Wonderland and as a roller-skating Little Red in StoryBook Theatre’s Little Red. She received her BFA in Theater Studies from Southern Methodist University, emphasizing in acting and playwriting. She is an award winning playwright, winner of SMU’s 2015 Rosenfield Award for Excellence in Playwriting and the 2015 Audience Choice Award for Best Play at the 8 in 48 Festival for Young Audiences in Meridian, Idaho. Josh Maduell (George/Ensemble) is really excited to be a part of this show. This May he graduated from Willamette University in Oregon and currently resides in Bellevue where he has lived his whole life. He has acted in shows since he was five and has loved every second of it. His very first role was Augustus Gloop in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Since he had so much fun acting in plays as a summer camper, he continued to act through high school and college, getting a degree in theater. His favorite high school role was Mr. Mushnik in “Little Shop of Horrors” while his favorite college role was Mr. Jansenius in “Smash!” In his spare time he loves to exercise, read, walk his dog, and intensely watch Seahawks/Mariners games with his dad.

David Bailey (Mr Little/Ensemble) Having appeared in over 100 productions, including TV, Feature Films, Radio, etc., David began the stroll along his current path back in the ‘Golden Age of Television’, when “Saturday Afternoon at the Movies” was all about those great B-Grade Sci-Fi movies of the 50’s and 60’s. Each rainy Saturday afternoon, David and his friends would be whisked away to some far off planet, or distant time, in order to save the world from certain destruction at the hands, or feet (Love you Godzilla!), that threatened it. While his friends may have moved on as they grew (pity for them!), David continues to prefer a world that allows him to play out the best aspects that mankind can envision for itself … the world of the Stage, and the playwrights there that challenge us to be our best. “Where else, but the theater, would I be able to be a Father, a Dentist, a Cat (a female one, at that!), a Telephone Pole Repairman, and have a Mouse for a Son, all in one afternoon?! It’s GREAT to be back onstage, with this wonderful cast and crew, performing in ‘Stuart Little’ for you! Jan Dunlap (Mrs. Little/Ensemble) is overjoyed to return to the SSR stage, since her last role in The Princess and the Pea. She appreciates this new opportunity to work with a talented cast, crew, and director -- and to bring the beloved story of Stuart Little to life. Past production favorites include Leaving Iowa at Evergreen Family Theatre (EFT), touring with Drawing Water, and directing/producing for EFT. Jan would like to thank her family and friends for all of their encouragement, but especially the Joy of her life -- daughter Hannah Bale.

MEET THE PRODUCTION TEAM

Doug Knoop (Director) Doug is delighted to be back in the director's chair for another SSR show. He was last seen onstage last month as Sipos in Seattle Musical Theatre's She Loves Me. In October he played Mr. Rice in Molly Sweeney for KTO Productions. Earlier this year he directed The Cat in the Hat for SSR. In 2014 he was in Theatre22’s The Hours of Life and played Tevye in Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theatre’s Fiddler on the Roof. In 2013 he played multiple roles in A Christmas Carol (SMT) and was featured in Moon Over Buffalo (SSR). Other area credits include directing ’night mother and playing Finbar in The Weir (KTO Productions) and The Drowsy Chaperone, Chicago and The Producers (Seattle Musical Theatre). Amanda Headley (Costume Designer) is delighted to be making her debut with SecondStory Repertory. Recent credits include Avenue Q at Shoreline Community College, Beauty and the Beast for Evergreen Family Theater, and past credits include The Dark at the Top of the Stairs at the Dover Little Theater, The Glass Menagerie at The Barn Theater, and You with Miss Them at the Dreamcatcher Repertory Theater. She was the assistant costume designer for Agamemnon off-Broadway at La Mama. Amanda has a fashion design degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
