ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Book, Music, and Lyrics by John Allman
Based on the novel by Lewis Carroll
Follow Alice on a madcap adventure down the rabbit hole and into a magical fantasyland. Local author/composer John Allman’s spin on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland becomes curiouser and curiouser the further down you go and features characters from the book not typically brought to life on stage. Follow sweet Alice in Alice in Wonderland as she stumbles upon crazy tea parties, a wily Cheshire Cat and has a bizarre encounter with the tyrannical Queen of Hearts.
Sarah Dennis (Alice) is elated to be a part of the magic that is Alice in Wonderland! Favorite past roles include Ariel (The Little Mermaid, Jr.), Kala (Tarzan), Helen Keller (The Miracle Worker), and the Cat in the Hat (Seussical) among others at Village Theatre KIDSTAGE, Village Originals, Seattle Children's Theatre, Book-It Repertory, and Driftwood Players. Love and thanks to her beautiful family and compassionate friends, specifically her mother.
Stephanie M. Bull (Prima) is excited to make her SecondStory debut! After graduating from Texas Lutheran University with a degree in Vocal Performance, she began working for Youth Theatre Northwest as their Registrar. Some previous roles include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, Mrs. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, and Laurie in Oklahoma. Special thanks to my mom and dad for instilling the love of theater in me when I was a wee tot and to Kate Swenson, my mentor and comrade.
Kaysy Ostrom (Secunda) is so excited to do her first play at SecondStory Rep! She is a 2015 graduate of Southern Methodist University where she received a BFA in Theater Studies with an emphasis in acting and playwriting. Kaysy has acted in Dallas regional theater, on the SMU mainstage, and was a recipient of the 2015 Rosenfield Award for Excellence in Playwriting. Past favorite roles include Pan in Bat Boy the Musical and Dull Gret in Cary Churchill's Top Girls. She also writes original songs which she posts on YouTube under the username kaysyconundrum. You’re likely to find Kaysy writing furiously, rehearsing for her next theater project, plunking on a piano, drinking enormous amounts of coffee, or cuddling with her cat!
Amberlee Williams (Puppeteer) is a Teaching Artist and actor originally from Oklahoma. She loves SSR and was last seen in their production of Charlotte's Web as Wilbur. She teaches classes, workshops, and camps for many wonderful companies and programs including Seattle Children’s Theatre, Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE program, Seattle Theatre Group, Disney Musicals in Schools program, Studio East, and Dandylyon Drama. When not teaching or performing, Amberlee can be seen taking dance classes, experimenting with recipes, reading, and baking delicious cookies. Many thanks to Adam, and love to Michael.
