Christina Masson Ronquillo (Anna) is thrilled to have "Spring Awakening" mark her 7th SSR show onstage; this will be her 25th production at SSR, having stage managed, performed, & choreographed her way all over this theater for the past 6 years. She has also performed at Seattle Musical Theatre, Leavenworth Summer Theater, and will be making her debut for the Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society this coming July in "HMS Pinafore". Favorite roles include Ginger in "Zombie Prom", Millie u/s in "Thoroughly Modern Millie", and most recently Snoopy in "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Love as always to Dan & Cody for putting up with her musical theater obsession.

Larissa Schmitz (Martha) is very excited to be back at SSR, having previously performed in EVITA. She received a BFA in Theater from Minnesota State University-Mankato, before moving to Seattle. Previous productions include: Savage In Limbo (Lion.Fish.Theater); Carrie, Thankskilling (Balagan Theatre); Rigoletto (Seattle Opera); Anything Goes, Into the Woods, Godspell (LST); The Who's TOMMY, Rocky Horror Show, Sweet Charity, Reefer Madness (Seattle Musical Theatre).

Mary Hould (Thea) Having previously performed in three of SecondStory's Theater for Young Audiences productions, Mary is super excited to be back on the SecondStory stage! She has performed all over the Puget Sound region, with some of her favorite roles being the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella (SecondStory) Erica in Game Show (Theater Schmeater) and Nancy Drew in Calling Nancy Drew (STAGEright). Mary's currently in a touring children's show with BookIt Repertory Theatre, where she gets to travel all over WA state to bring the book "El Deafo" to life, in a fully bilingual production (Sign Language and English). She has also been a Dickens Caroler for the past four years, and is an American Sign Language interpreter. Mary wishes to thank Dangella, Aunt Geri, Robb, Lavina, and Pat, for all of their endless love and support!

Alan E. Garcia (Mortiz) has dreamt of playing Moritz for the past eight-and-a-half years. He's still in shock. He would like to thank Mom, Dad, Bryan, and Bella, for never trying to convince him to pursue a more "realistic career"; his incredible scene partner Simone, for holding and supporting him throughout this entire process (#ThankYouDuncan); his entire Spring Awakening Family, for breathing life into this crazy dream of his; and you reading this, for supporting the arts! Emily Welter (Wendla) is thrilled to be performing her dream role. She was last seen in Mack and Mabel (Sing Out Louise! Theatricals/SSR), Jekyll & Hyde (Renton Civic Theatre), and 9 to 5 The Musical (Seattle Musical Theatre). A Kansas City native, Emily graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and works full time as a civil engineer. Much love to Seth and Hannah and thanks in advance to her parents for covering their eyes during the scary parts.

Nick Hyett-Schnell (Otto) is happy to be back at SecondStory Repertory, last seen in A Charlie Brown Christmas. Special thanks to Isaiah and the team, Mom, Dads, VJ, Michele, and Nikki. Dedicated to Regi and Sabrina.

Annie St. John (Adult Woman) is thrilled to be making her mainstage SSR debut in Spring Awakening! She has been seen before on the SSR stage in Christopher Bailey’s The Undescended. Annie is a classically trained actress who has studied at Vanderbilt University, American Academy of Dramatic Arts and under Chris Fields in Los Angeles. She is an Acting Company member of The Fern Shakespeare Company and can next be seen as Prospero in their production of The Tempest. Thank you so much to Mark, Jen and Isaiah for the opportunity to be a part of this stellar show. And as always my love to Asa and Adelaide.

MEET THE PRODUCTION TEAM

Annie Simonton (Stage Manager) is ecstatic to be back for stage managing another season at SecondStory Rep. A CWU theater alum, she has spent her post college career interning in the prop shop at Village Theatre, and stage managing for SecondStory. Past stage managing credits include A Christmas Carol, Charlotte's Web, The Lion in Winter, Little Shop of Horrors, The Last Five Years, Rocky Horror Show and Deathtrap. Annie wishes to thank Mark and Jen for always letting her be a part of this beautiful theater, and her friends and family for putting up with her sass and shenanigans.

Laurie Roberts (Costume Designer) has been designing costumes for the past 15 years, and this marks her 29th production at SSR, working on one of her favorite musicals. She has costumed over 75 productions and has worked at Bellevue Youth Theatre and Youth Theatre Northwest on Mercer Island. Thanks as always to the Squolf for the opportunity to work with this very special team of artists. Enjoy the show!

Anthony Pallozzi (Choreographer) is thrilled to be back working with SecondStory Repertory after choreographing last season’s production of Evita. A native of New York, Anthony attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and completed their Integrated Program focusing on musical theater. Upon graduation he worked in tours, and regionally throughout the country as both an actor and choreographer. Since arriving in Seattle, he has had the pleasure of working not only with SSR but also Seattle Musical Theatre, Fantastic Z, and Renton Civic Theatre among others.

Jen Chenovick (Light Design) Jen's theatrical career began in 2002 when she was asked to assistant stage manage The Importance of Being Ernest right here at SSR. Following her passion for theater Jen moved to Hollywood in 2005 where she stage managed for The Blank Theatre including the oddly satisfying Lobster Alice starring Noah Wylie and Nicholas Brendon. While in California, she also worked with Syzygy Theatre Group and the World Premiere of Tender, Abi Morgan’s trenchant drama of the human hunger for connection. Jen moved back to Redmond in 2007 and jumped right back into her work with SSR. During her eighteen plus years at SSR Jen has worn many hats, from stage manager to production manager to managing director and now light design. Special thanks to my parents, they’re pretty cool.

Mark Chenovick (Set Design/Technical Director) has been designing, building, and painting sets since the mid-eighties. Having the fortune to begin his theatrical career under the tutelage of Don McLaughlin in his hometown of Helena Montana, Mark continued his training at the University of Washington where he was accepted into the Graduate Design Seminar his sophomore year. With subsequent degrees in Art History and Drama, Mark went on to serve as technical director/designer for multiple organizations including: Virginia Musical Theatre, Fort Peck Summer Theatre, the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Little Theater of the Rockies, and the Norfolk Governor’s School for the Arts. As Technical Director/Production Manager of the national tour of Anything Goes (starring Gloria Loring) Mark travelled around the United States and Canada realizing that there is no place quite as wonderful as the Pacific Northwest. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, and following a brief stint as a carpenter at The Studio Theatre in Washington D.C., he moved back to Seattle. Locally he has worked behind the scenes for the Village Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, Redwood Theatre, and, of course, SecondStory Repertory.

Mark Chenovick (Sound Design) I began my sound design journey splicing reel-to-reel tape together in the basement of the original Penthouse Theater on the University of Washington campus but it was my brief time in the MFA program at Utah State University, where I learned the joys of digital sound design, and subsequently, became hooked on sound design for life. Having provided composed and curated underscoring and soundscaping, original and sourced sound effects, and performance amplification services for multiple theaters across the US, I have felt the most at home at SSR. Mark Chenovick (Projection Design) has designed projections for over 100 shows in the last ten years. Prior to that he worked with CJS design, a website design and hosting company, developing custom websites for clients ranging from Draper Valley Farms to Seattle Film Group. He also co-created and ran the now defunct SeattleActor.com, a website focused on Seattle area theater, featuring audition listings, helpful articles, and show reviews. In addition to projections, Mark also designs all of the marketing materials you see at SSR including; posters, show graphics, and website. All my love to Jen. Enjoy the show!
