By Eva Moon

How far would you go to save your life? Superpowers stem from incredible sacrifices in The Mutant Diaries: Unzipping My Genes, a feisty and frank solo musical from performer/composer Eva Moon. Upon learning she had the BRCA genetic mutation, which spikes the risk of breast cancer to 87% and ovarian cancer to 55%, Moon had to make a life-altering choice: remove her healthy breasts and ovaries or face terrifying odds of cancer. Live music, warmth and generous amounts of humor are all expertly woven in this story of her decision -- and the extraordinarily empowering results of that choice.

Friday, April 10, 2015 8pm

Danny and Dottie are pregnant, jobless and in desperate need of a jackpot. When Danny infiltrates a men's support group he meets Gardner, an ex-wall street exec who sits on a very lonely pile of money. Danny befriends Gardner and through daily pow-wows at the city library persuades his new best friend to consider the benefits of an early exit. As Gardner warms to the idea of a life already lived, Dottie cools to Danny's plot and sees the possibility of gold under a less tragic rainbow.
PARENTAL ADVISORY: Contains strong language and mature subject matter.

Jim Atwater is a thirty-something psychiatric resident, whose seductive new patient, Lana Devlin, may be sleeping with a killer, a shadowy character who shows up on her fire escape after dusk and exits before dawn. When a female colleague turns up dead and partially devoured, Jim starts to fear that Lana’s nocturnal visitor may have designs on his wife, Diane, a trial lawyer who’s grown increasingly stoic following a miscarriage. Jim’s supervisor and fellow psychiatrist, Alexandra Page, discourages him from going to the police, while Diane remains incredulous that she could be in danger. Meanwhile, Lana’s apparent knowledge of Jim’s personal life, along with her continuing attempts to seduce him, leaves Jim wondering if she isn’t in fact stalking him. With no one but himself to believe, Jim sets out to take matters into his own hands. But as a drought hits and ash from a nearby volcano turns day into night, Jim’s life and marriage further melt, like Dali’s watches, until the world he thought he knew reveals its other face.
