Carol Richmond (Marie Dindon/Madame Renaud) Carol is so thrilled to be back on the SSR stage in this wonderful romp! She was recently seen here as Mother in Kiss of the Spiderwoman and Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret. She has been lucky enough to perform on stages in Olympia, Tacoma, Lakewood, and Renton in addition to SSR. Thanks so much to Eric, Paul, Kate and the stellar production team. Elizabeth Grant (Cagelle) is a recent graduate of Seattle University with a dual degree in Theater and Environmental Studies. Recent credits include A Christmas Carol (SSR), A Chorus Line (BPA), Scrooge! (SMT), and Steel Magnolias (WICA). She is delighted to be working with such a talented cast and crew!

Ryan McCabe (Albin / ZaZa) is returning to the SSR stage following his acclaimed performance in KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN. Previous credits include: JERRY SPRINGER: THE OPERA; LES MISERABLES; CHICAGO; NEXT TO NORMAL; AVENUE Q; [title of show]; A CHORUS LINE; DR. Brock Madden (Francis) This is Brock's third show with SecondStory Repertory, having played Johnson in its quirky production of "How to Succeed..." last winter. You might've last seen him as The Clown in Centerstage's Winter production of "Cuff Me: A Fifty Shades of Grey Musical Parody". Brock dedicates this performance to Elvis, the Alpaca Attacker.

Sparkle Leigh (Hannah) Sparkle is a Kute & Kooky Kartoon Klown! She is also spaztaculously excited to be on the SecondStory Rep stage for the first time! Jeff Church (Georges) is thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful cast. Recent work includes “Little Women” at Artswest, “Anne of Green Gables” at Village Theatre as well as directing “Gypsy” at SMT. Thank you for supporting the arts and celebrating love and family in its many forms.

Krista Johnson (Anne) is so excited to be making her SSR debut as Anne! Favorite roles include Margot in LEGALLY BLONDE (SMT), Judy Turner in CHORUS LINE (ART), Liza in 7 BRIDES...(LLO), and MAME (5th Avenue). William Hamer (Dindon/Renaud) Bill was last seen at SSR as J. B. Biggly in HOW TO SUCCEED… He most recently was seen as Andre in SMT’s DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and Antonio in Taproot Theatre’s ILLYRIA. He has been seen at many local theaters including The 5th Avenue, The Village Theatre and the Community Theatre. Among his favorite roles are Hornby-A KIND OF ALASKA, Clive-CHAPS, M. Loyal-TARTUFFE and Horatio-HAMLET. He thanks his family for all of their support and love, especially his beautiful wife, Gail.

Anthony Pallozzi (Jacob) is excited to be returning to the SSR stage having just appeared in Kiss of the Spider Woman. Anthony has worked as both an actor and choreographer through-out the country. Favorite shows include: The Rocky Horror Show, Oklahoma!, Ragtime, Dames at Sea, Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity, A Chorus Line, and Chicago. Enjoy the Show!

Christina Masson (Cagelle) has been thoroughly enjoying a 5th chance to strut her stuff on the SSR stage (Joseph..., Zombie Prom, How To Succeed, Keely & Du). She has recently performed with SMT and LST, and she also stage manages in the Seattle area (SSR, YTN, SMT). BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography from WWU. Love & thanks to mom, dad, and her fiancé, Dan.

Devon Allen (Chantal) is delighted to be setting foot on SecondStory's stage for the first time. Sacramento to Seattle transplant, his theater credits include Legally Blonde and Ensemble; Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at SMT, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at Lyric Light Opera, and most recently Seattle Vice at ACT, hosted by Central Heating Lab. An abundance of thanks to the Murrays, the Allens, and of course Andy for all the love and support.

John R. Huddlestun (Jean-Michel) has been waiting to audition for La Cage since it was announced as a part of SSR's season. For the past year, he inquired persistently about the audition dates. Then, add to the fact the production team is many of his favorites, and he couldn't be happier. John was last seen at SSR in Rapunzel, and as Bud Frump in last year's production of How to Succeed... John is one of the founders of STAGEright Theatre, and works assisting the Deaf community during the weekdays. He is also running his first marathon this summer before he turns 30! John wishes that everyone can find the enduring, patient, and understanding love that is modeled in La Cage. Thanks to the Squolf, Eric and Paul, and Beth for making this show possible. Jordan Jackson (Cagelle) is all a-flutter with excitement to be a part of this gorgeously flamboyant extravaganza with such a superb cast and crew. A native of Wisconsin, and a graduate of AMDA NYC, Mr. Jackson has been fortunate enough to travel all over the states doing some great theatre with some amazing folks and would love to tell you all about it over that beer you're going to buy him after the show. Not sayin', just sayin'.

Andrew Murray (Phedra) This is Andrew's SIXTH show at SecondStory Repertory, and he is thrilled to be on this stage once again. Previous favorites at SSR include Sparky in Forever Plaid and Mark in Rent. Around Seattle he has been seen at The 5th Avenue, Balagan Theatre, Seattle Opera, Book-It!, Open Circle, and Seattle Musical Theatre. This transformation has been especially challenging, yet exciting, and it is all thanks to his family both onstage and off. Now: Sissy that Walk.

Britt Boyd (Jacqueline) is delighted to revisit SSR’s mainstage after appearing in A Little Night Music earlier this season. Favorite local credits include The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods (Seattle Musical Theatre), Mrs. Armstrong in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Seattle Public Theatre) and Martha in The Secret Garden (Kitsap Forest Theater). She has also performed locally with Village Theatre, ACT, Living Voices, Theater Schmeater and STAGEright. By day, Britt introduces young minds to theater as a teaching artist. For Michael.

MEET THE CAST

Eric Jensen (Director) has been working in the Pacific Northwest theater community as a director, actor and educator over the past 25 years. He has been involved with Village Theatre's New Works Festival for many years and has also directed in Summer Programs for Seattle Children’s Theatre, Village Theatre and most recently here at SSR with Frances Leah King in SSR's Summer production of "Sweeney Todd". Enjoy.

Paul Linnes (Music Director / 2nd Keyboard) has over 30 years of live performance experience, as well as recordings with the Roger Wagner Chorale, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, motion picture soundtracks such as Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Jurassic Park, Ghost Rider (2007), and several video game titles including “Halo” and “Age of Empires”. He is a pianist, has been a cellist, and holds a M.M. in Vocal Performance (Opera) from the University of Southern California. Past music direction engagements have taken him to theaters all over the greater Puget Sound region. Paul is an active teacher who maintains a private voice studio and teaches voice as part of the Roosevelt High School drama program. He is also a founding member of the UW’s Advisory Board in the Performing Arts. While performing on stage or in the studio is not something he has an opportunity to do much anymore, he loves the “intersection of disciplines” that music direction provides. For Michael – love will always prevail.

Kate Kingery (Choreographer) is exhilarated to be choreographing for this amazingly talented group of performers! After being introduced to dance and musicals as a child in Denver, Kate followed her passion for music to Carleton College (MN), dance to Chicago, and Ultimate Frisbee to Seattle where she plays with Seattle Riot! Favorite Choreography Projects: Chicago & How To Succeed (SSR), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (SMT), Charlie Brown & Zombie Prom (Eastlake HS), On The Town (Carleton College). Special thanks to my housemates (for putting up with all the furniture moving to facilitate choreography in the living room), Dave (for dealing with the crazy schedule and late nights), & my teammates and my family for their boundless encouragement and support!

Kim Moore (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back at SSR, working on such a wonderful and fun show. Previously at SSR she Stage Managed Moon Over Buffalo and Unfound Fossils. She has also had the pleasure of working at SMT where she recently Stage Managed Young Frankenstein. She would like to extend a special thanks to her Opa, Roland Sylvestre, for all his many years of love and support.

Jen Chenovick (Light Design) Jen's theatrical career began in 2002 when she was asked to assistant stage manage The Importance of Being Ernest right here at SSR. Following her passion for theater Jen moved to Hollywood in 2005 where she stage managed for The Blank Theatre including the oddly satisfying Lobster Alice starring Noah Wylie and Nicholas Brendon. While in California, she also worked with Syzygy Theatre Group and the World Premiere of Tender, Abi Morgan’s trenchant drama of the human hunger for connection. Jen moved back to Redmond in 2007 and jumped right back into her work with SSR. During her eighteen plus years at SSR Jen has worn many hats, from stage manager to production manager to managing director and now light design. Special thanks to my parents, they’re pretty cool.

Mark Chenovick (Set Design/Technical Director) has been designing, building, and painting sets since the mid-eighties. Having the fortune to begin his theatrical career under the tutelage of Don McLaughlin in his hometown of Helena Montana, Mark continued his training at the University of Washington where he was accepted into the Graduate Design Seminar his sophomore year. With subsequent degrees in Art History and Drama, Mark went on to serve as technical director/designer for multiple organizations including: Virginia Musical Theatre, Fort Peck Summer Theatre, the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Little Theater of the Rockies, and the Norfolk Governor’s School for the Arts. As Technical Director/Production Manager of the national tour of Anything Goes (starring Gloria Loring) Mark travelled around the United States and Canada realizing that there is no place quite as wonderful as the Pacific Northwest. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, and following a brief stint as a carpenter at The Studio Theatre in Washington D.C., he moved back to Seattle. Locally he has worked behind the scenes for the Village Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, Redwood Theatre, and, of course, SecondStory Repertory.


Mark Chenovick (Sound Design) I began my sound design journey splicing reel-to-reel tape together in the basement of the original Penthouse Theater on the University of Washington campus but it was my brief time in the MFA program at Utah State University, where I learned the joys of digital sound design, and subsequently, became hooked on sound design for life. Having provided composed and curated underscoring and soundscaping, original and sourced sound effects, and performance amplification services for multiple theaters across the US, I have felt the most at home at SSR. Mark Chenovick (Projection Design) has designed projections for over 100 shows in the last ten years. Prior to that he worked with CJS design, a website design and hosting company, developing custom websites for clients ranging from Draper Valley Farms to Seattle Film Group. He also co-created and ran the now defunct SeattleActor.com, a website focused on Seattle area theater, featuring audition listings, helpful articles, and show reviews. In addition to projections, Mark also designs all of the marketing materials you see at SSR including; posters, show graphics, and website. All my love to Jen. Enjoy the show!
